As 5G coverage spreads, PoC radios are moving beyond voice. A 5G PoC radio keeps instant push-to-talk but adds the bandwidth for video, live dispatch and on-device data — useful wherever field work is data-heavy.
Lower latency: voice and dispatch respond faster, closer to traditional radio feel.
Higher throughput: video push-to-talk, live photo upload and map updates run smoothly.
More headroom: multiple data apps (scanning, MDM, forms) run without choking the voice channel.
For basic group voice, 4G PoC is still sufficient and cheaper. Choose 5G when your teams rely on data-rich field operations.

5G PoC still needs a data plan (SIM/eSIM) with adequate 5G coverage in your operating area.

For hazardous areas, note that the 5G PoC line is not the ATEX model — the ATEX/IECEx option is the 4G L503.
